In 2000 David Sgro created F.I.G.H.T. C.U.T. COMBATIVES, and 2/3 SFG (A). He expanded his training to the 82nd ABN, and certified 1100 trainers for the US Army. He was referred to as an "SME Force Multiplier" (Subject Matter Expert Force Multiplier), and a "Force Multiplier".
F.I.G.H.T. C.U.T. (Fully Integrated Grappling and Hitting Techniques, Close Up Techniques) is a Military Combatives Course based on techniques from Japanese Ju-Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Tang Soo Do (Karate), Judo, and Arnis (Filipino Martial Arts, i.e. Stick and Knife). Military Personnel need training in Combatives, especially in the following areas:
1) Force Continuum from “Less Force” to “More Force” (Diplomacy to Deadly Force)
2) Joint Locks, Arm Bars, Chokes, and Come-alongs
3) Striking with lethal and non-lethal application to end the conflict
4) Take Downs/Ground fighting
6) M4 and M9 Weapons Retention/Disarms.
After training the US Army he received many request for similar training from Martial Art Schools. To meet this demand for instruction, rank, and certification for instructors and studios, he created San Kil Mu Sul.
